Finding My Sanity

Apprehending how on earth in this flesh can a mortal man be immortal. How is it possible for a mere
man to know the One and Only God? He Is the Living God and to the living, He is knowable. Looking at
and through the life of Jesus is the only way to apprehend it.

Jesus's persona is the demonstration of life, death and the resurrection, God’s existence in the flesh.
His death and resurrection have given birth to immortality to those who are destined to inherit
the Kingdom of God. Jesus, the sinless Man who bore the sins of the sinful men took the punishment
unto Himself that the sinful men may find justice in judgment.

What account a man can present before the Living and Just God to justify himself other than, “The
woman You gave me asked me to eat the fruit You have forbidden me to eat and I ate it.” Men play a
"blame game", Adam received the curse due him and was exiled from the garden of Eden. The just God
exercises justice. Jesus, though sinless, was found legally guilty of theft, murder, adultery, blasphemy,
covetousness, sexual immorality and all kinds of unrighteousness punishable by death.

The most distressing moment in the life of Christ, looking at the illustration when He took with Him Peter
and the sons of Zebedee telling them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death.“ (Matthew
26:38) As the disciples watched Him pray alone, He said to His Father, “O Father, if it is possible let this
cup pass from Me, nevertheless, not as I will but as You will.” The cup of wrath, full of indignation, the
fury of God towards the Son who bore the sins of men unto Himself is now bare naked in shame,
presented to the nations as a condemned Man, receiving the woes, the judgment of the wicked men
before the nations and before the Just God! He was punished. He was forsaken and left to die. "My God
My God, why have You forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46). He paid the price God demanded in which no
man in his possession can afford. Jesus gave His life as a ransom that the guilty men may go free.

What a sight as the curtain was being pulled aside. To witness the conversation at the court,

"What right have you to be in My kingdom?" asked the Judge.

Confidently, the guilty answered, "I have done everything to deserve death as a punishment," choked,

he continued, "but Jesus has already paid the ransom with His own blood and He died on my place,

instead. I could die a thousand death and I could still find no favor in your sight. You required the blood

of an innocent and your requirement is met by Your Son, the Man Jesus."

John 3:10 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have eternal life.

The God, the Father honored that payment, the rightful sacrifice, the blood of an innocent. If He did
not, Jesus goes free and man has to pay the price of his own offence. Jesus paid the price. He died on
the cross and after three days, He rose again! This is good news! Good news to those who believe.
Men who found no favor in God because of sins can now come before God, clothed in righteousness
with his sins blotted out because of the love of Christ in His blood that covers multitude of sins.

Christianity can be defined as the celebration of life and freedom in which, those who were snapped
from death found new home in Christ- their dwelling place. Christ Jesus is the city of dwellers- the
Christians, the people created after the image of Christ. He is the city of no condemnation but
justification to those who believe. To those who live in Christ Jesus, their lives have a new meaning and
a destination - Christ.
